How GLP-1 Medicines Work

A cinematic 3D mechanism-of-action explainer that follows GLP-1 from the gut to the pancreas, stomach and brain in under a minute.

  • Format · 3D animation
  • Type · Mechanism of action
  • Length · 45 seconds
  • Audience · Healthcare professionals and patients

This is an AnatoArc sample project, made to show our approach. It is not client work and is not medical advice.

The brief

Four sites of action, one clear story

GLP-1 receptor agonists act in several places at once, which makes them hard to explain quickly. This sample shows the class-level mechanism in 45 seconds without losing the science.

It starts with why the body's own GLP-1 doesn't last, shows how the medicines get around that, and then visits each site of action in turn, finishing on the outcome.

How we built it

A pharma-grade look, kept class-level and review-ready.

01

Class-level script

Written against the established mechanism: the incretin effect, DPP-4 breakdown, insulin, glucagon, gastric emptying and satiety.

02

3D keyframes

A consistent cinematic look for each organ system: gut, bloodstream, pancreatic beta cells, stomach and brain.

03

Animation and labels

Each scene is animated and paired with a short on-screen label, so the key point reads even with the sound off.

04

Narration and music

A calm, clinical narrator and a light music bed, mixed to broadcast loudness.

Details that matter

The small decisions a medical, legal and regulatory reviewer will look for.

  • Glucose-dependent insulin. The insulin effect is labeled glucose-dependent, as it is in the label language for the class.
  • Class-level, not product-specific. No brand names or product claims, and a disclaimer on every labeled frame.
  • Natural vs. medicine. The difference between the body's own GLP-1 and an agonist is shown through resistance to DPP-4.
  • Measured outcome language. Weight loss is framed as happening for many people, not as a promise.
